Sunflowers on Red Table

A study of motion and perspective. My three-dimensional sunflowers are placed as stars in the swirling space of time, yet the setting is of earthly reality. I created this painting while living in La Jolla California atop Mount Soledad, looking out over four islands off in the distance, where always the temperature is 72 degrees. I cooked for us large lobsters for our Christmas dinner, sitting out looking over such a wonderful seascape.
