The Dance

While attending the ballet numerous times while living in Odessa, I was fascinated with the troupes from Hungary, Russia, Ukrainian, and even Poland. I actually painted this work in the mountains, my home in Vorohta, a tiny village not far from the Romanian Border. I was fascinated by this very particular positioning of the dancers and how I placed them in the heavens as if gods.
